This facility serves as a bus wash and repair shop. Its utilitarian function is expressed through the selection of industrial materials; for example, a tilt-up concrete structure forms the wall enclosure of the main shop, and steel joists and beams are used for the mezzanine floor, the roof framing, and the covered outdoor work area.
As counterpart, the office component consists of a wood frame structure with a cedar cladding façade that integrates the building with its surroundings. A continuous window extends through the offices, offering users a view of the preserved treed area at the front of the facility.
