The proposed architectural aesthetics of the proposed project takes its cues from the architectural style / language of the Pacific West Coast. It uses a simple yet elegant building form topped by a gable roof accented by shed dormers.
The project uses ‘noble materials’ throughout, such as stone, stained and sealed wood columns, fascias, trims and reinforced-fibre cement cladding. There are large windows on the front and rear elevations to take maximum advantage of natural light as well as views onto a neighbouring greenbelt. The roofs are simple low-pitched forms with large overhanging eaves to allow for protection from the West Coast weather. The project uses extensive native landscaping to reflect the surrounding natural setting and adjacent riparian area.
